Palo Alto Xpanse

About the product

Palo Alto Networks Xpanse is an advanced ASM solution that enables automatic detection and monitoring of all your organization’s Internet-facing assets, regardless of who created them or where they are located. Xpanse works from an outside-in perspective, scanning the global IPv4 address space and analyzing billions of data points daily to identify unmanaged, forgotten, or vulnerable assets before cybercriminals do.

Advantages of the solution

Global IPv4 network scanning in near real time

Detection of resources that have “escaped” IT processes – shadow IT, DevOps, cloud resources

Automatic classification and assignment of resources to their owner within the organization

Built-in risk analysis and remediation recommendations

Integration with SOAR, SIEM, CMDB tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)

Benefits of Implementation

A comprehensive and up-to-date picture of your organization's external attack surface
Xpanse shows all of your organization's assets accessible from the Internet – even those that are not registered in your internal systems, giving you full visibility and enabling you to manage them effectively.

Elimination of “unknown unknowns” – hidden risks resulting from forgotten or misconfigured resources
Many attacks start with vulnerabilities in forgotten resources (e.g., test servers, old applications). Xpanse allows you to find and eliminate them before an attacker does.

Reduced exposure to ransomware attacks and other Internet threats
By limiting the number of open ports, outdated services, and vulnerable applications, Xpanse significantly reduces the attack surface, minimizing the risk of a successful cyberattack.

Automation of incident reporting and corrective actions
Thanks to integrations with incident management and automation systems (SOAR), it is possible to automatically create tickets and launch remediation procedures without manual intervention.

Compliance with NIS2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and other security standards
Xpanse supports audit and regulatory requirements with detailed reporting and continuous asset monitoring.

Support for collaboration between security, IT, and DevOps teams
Transparent data and resource assignment to owners facilitates communication between departments, reducing the time needed to detect and fix configuration errors or unauthorized deployments.
